Fiat 600 Hybrid range gets new Icon trim level
UK-based Fiat 600 Hybrid customers could get more bang for their buck with the introduction of the new Icon trim level to the range.
The Icon trim will sit between the entry-level 600 Hybrid (£25,360) and the top-of-the-range 600 Hybrid La Prima (£28,360), and comes with a choice of 99bhp (£26,860) or 135bhp (£27,860) power outputs. Both hybrid powertrain options will be available with an electrified six-speed dual clutch automatic transmission, and combine a 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine with an electric motor and 48V mild-hybrid system.
In terms of speed, the 99bhp version is able to accelerate from 0-62mph time of 10.9 seconds and has a top speed of 114mph. For £1,000 more, the 135bhp version will do 0-62mph in 8.5 seconds and has a top speed of 124mph.
Efficiency is the name of the game here, however, and the new Icon trim has a fuel consumption of 57.6mpg, while the electric motor allows up to 1km of distance and the ability to drive on electric power alone under 18mph.
The Icon variant boasts 17” diamond-cut alloy wheels, Black and Ivory bi-colour fabric seats, front and rear parking sensors, reversing camera with 180⁰ view and satellite navigation. There is an adjustable boot floor, as well as wireless smartphone charging and keyless entry.
This is all in addition to the standard kit seen in the 600 Hybrid, including air-con, a 7-inch digital driver’s display, LED headlights and a 10.25-inch touchscreen compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Orders for the new Icon trim level are open now.
