about driven
Driven is a UK-based independent automotive media outlet providing news, reviews, podcasts and videos for a global car, motorcycle and motorsport-centric audience.
Our reviews are creatively written and packed with personality to give you the information you want, along with journalistic comparisons, opinions, and facts.
We hand-pick and collate our news stories directly from the source. We don’t offer second-hand stories and never display paid-for advertorial content.
Our podcast offers a weekly conversation, most often with a key figure from the automotive industry. From car designers to championship-winning racing drivers, we’ve sat down with them all and made them available for free.
On our dedicated YouTube channel, we offer features, reviews and vlog-style content which brings you, the audience, along for the ride.
Driven’s contributors include Alex Goy, Sam Sheehan, Mike Bartholomew, Amy Heynes, Mike Booth, Charlotte Vowden, Miles Lacey, Graham Courtney and John Marcar, who is also Driven’s Editor-in-chief.
Driven, and the driven logo are registered trade marks of Paramex Digital Limited in the United Kingdom in classes 9, 38 and 41.
a brief history of driven
Driven started as a weekly radio show in 2020 on talkRADIO and later talkSPORT. The weekly radio show discussed automotive headlines and featured interviews and conversations with celebrities and personalities in and around the automotive space. The radio show also offered a weekly spin-off podcast called DrivenChat, and additional content was offered as media coverage via social media and a limited editorial website.
From 2023, under a new creative leadership by John Marcar, Driven transitioned from a radio-first publication to a more digital-centric brand, with a considerable expansion into online media. The new era of Driven included a new editorial website (driven.site), a complete refresh on social media, and a significant push to create content for YouTube and podcasts.
The podcast was relaunched as The Driven Podcast, and a daily news desk was added to the website offering the latest headlines and stories from in and around the industry.
Today, Driven is consumed by a global audience of podcast listeners, YouTube viewers, article readers and social media followers.
