Button, Villeneuve & Stewart set to feature at Goodwood Revival

Stellar names from the world of Formula 1, IndyCar, Touring-car racing and the wider motorsport world are set to feature at Goodwood Revival in September for what is arguably the greatest historic motor race meeting around.

From the F1 community, Sir Jackie Stewart, Jacques Villeneuve, Jean Alesi, Jenson Button, John Watson, Karun Chandhok, and Max Chilton will all be appearing at Revival, with Button and Villeneuve set to race.

IndyCar and American open-wheel racers Dario Franchitti, Scott Dixon and Tony Kanaan will bring their racing experience from across the pond to Sussex. They’ll be joined by seven‑time NASCAR Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson and Simona De Silvestro.

For a more British flavour, BTCC and touring-car greats Anthony Reid, Colin Turkington, Gordon Shedden, Rob Huff, Matt Neal, Tom Ingram and Steve Soper will be some of the names gracing Goodwood Motor Circuit. Both sides of the globe will be represented with the inclusion of V8 Supercars icon Greg Murphy and four‑time Bathurst 1000 winner Steven Richards.

And with the 24 Hours of Le Mans just around the corner, the most successful driver in Le Mans history, Tom Kristensen, will be returning alongside fellow winners André Lotterer, Benoît Tréluyer, David Brabham, Emanuele Pirro, Frank Stippler, Guy Smith, Justin Bell, Marcel Fässler and Romain Dumas. They’ll be joined by other names, including Alex and Chris Buncombe, Darren Turner, Marino Franchitti, Nicolas Minassian, while Aaron Shelby will honour the legacy of his grandfather, Carroll Shelby.

It comes after the announcement earlier this year about the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans Ford GT Mk II trio reuniting at Goodwood this year.

Goodwood will also honour another motoring legend at the event, with the life and career of driver, engineer and innovator Sir Jack Brabham to be celebrated.

Goodwood Revival takes place between Friday 18th and Sunday 20th September.
