Three cars from Harry’s Garage part of Iconic Engineers auction at the NEC
Evo co-founder turned automotive YouTuber Harry Metcalfe is to sell three cars from his famous garage as part of the upcoming Iconic Auctioneers sale at the NEC.
In his latest YouTube video, which discussed the impending sale and his reasons for contributing some of his cars, Metcalfe explained that he currently has 35 vehicles (22 cars and 13 motorbikes) on his insurance policy and that it was “time to shed a few”, despite liking all of them.
While he’ll be selling five cars and four bikes overall, Metcalfe will take just three of the cars - a 1954 Land Rover Series I 86", 1978 Jaguar XJC V12 Manual and 1971 Lamborghini Espada S2 - to the NEC.
Let’s take a look at the three cars heading to auction in Birmingham in more detail…
1954 Land Rover Series I 86"
Preferring to use his Range Rover at his farm in the Cotswolds, Metcalfe is selling this 86” variant Land Rover Series I, which comes hand-painted and with plenty of original features.
Contributing over 500,000 views as one of the first vehicles to appear on the Harry’s Garage YouTube channel, its engine has recently undergone a top-end rebuild costing £2,000.
ESTIMATE: £10,000 - £12,000
1978 Jaguar XJC V12 Manual
Unlike the originality of the Land Rover, this 1978 Jaguar XJC V12 Manual has been fully rebuilt into one of the finest examples available today.
This XJC has been responsible for over 6,000,000 views on the Harry’s Garage channel since Metcalfe acquired it in 2014. It’s rebuild cost over six figures and included new suspension, Minotaur Green paint, and a 5-speed manual gearbox conversion to get full potential out of its 350hp V12.
Those at Iconic Auctioneers who were able to get behind the wheel were glowing in their evaluation of Harry’s Jag, saying, “We can say first hand that we have not driven a classic Jaguar XJ that comes close to this.”
ESTIMATE: £60,000 - £80,000
1971 Lamborghini Espada S2
The sale of this Lamborghini Espada has apparently been “torturing” Metcalfe. Having bought it back in 2012, it has featured in Octane magazine, twice on the Cartier lawn at Goodwood and was part of the 50th anniversary Lamborghini tour. Not entirely original, it was fitted with a clear roof to match the custom-built one driven by Prince Rainier III ahead of the 1969 Monaco Grand Prix.
At the time of its release, it was marketed as Lamborghini’s flagship four-seater GT and was even more expensive to buy than the Miura. Powered by a 3.9-litre V12, it was given a comprehensive engine and suspension rebuild between 2000 and 2001, and as recently as September 2025, it was taken on a road trip across the Yorkshire Moors by Harry for a YouTube video.
ESTIMATE: £90,000 - £110,000
The Iconic Engineers auction takes place at the NEC in Birmingham on Saturday 8th November at 11am UK time.
