Norton is Back! Meet the Manx R - A New Flagship Superbike Launched at EICMA 2025
Norton has unveiled the Manx R, a new 1200cc V4 flagship superbike, at the EICMA show in Milan as part of its exciting new chapter in motorcycle production and its new partnership with TVS Motor. In addition to the Manx R, three additional models, including the Manx, Atlas and Atlas GT, have also been revealed, with another two new models promised for the new year.

Norton Manx R
The Manx R is Norton’s new flagship superbike, designed and built in Solihull, England in Norton’s brand new factory facility. The all-new model is a sleek 206hp fast road performance bike equipped with a brand-new 1200cc V4 engine, semi-active Marzocchi suspension, Brembo HYPURE brakes, and carbon fibre components. At 204 kg, the Manx R boasts a very impressive 1 hp per kilo. Norton describes the Manx R as a visceral 'must-ride' bike for connoisseurs of craftsmanship and exclusivity.
V4 Engine
The new 72-degree V4 engine is a performance-focused unit delivering 206hp and 130 Nm of torque between 5,000 and 10,000 rpm. Through tens of thousands of test and development Miles, Norton’s engineers discovered that less than 1% of time is spent above 8,000rpm on equivalent superbikes, and with this in mind, the torque band for the Manx R has been tweaked to reflect this. At 5,000rpm, 75% of the Manx R’s full 130 Nm of torque is within reach, making it one of the most punchy superbikes of its era.
A six-speed constant-mesh gearbox routes power to the road via a multi-plate slipper clutch and quick-shifter system, enabling pin-sharp upshifts and rev-matching downshifts.
Semi-Active Suspension and Road-Friendly Chassis
Norton describes the new chassis as 'engineered for feel', and whilst it has been developed by the same team that created the most competitive Isle of Man TT competition bikes, real-world road usability has been a key focus. The chassis has been designed to flex and allow for additional grip and control on the road.
The semi-active suspension system offers equal versatility on the track and road and is equipped with sensors to aid in adjusting compression and rebound damping. Like the chassis, the plan is to run a system that is more than capable for the track but equally usable for the road.
HYPURE Brembo Brakes
Brembo's new lightweight HYPURE braking system delivers the stopping power to handle both the relentless hard stops of a track day and the more sedate day-to-day use of road riding. Two radially mounted 330mm floating discs sit in the centre of 17-inch carbon fibre BST wheels, with a single 245mm disc handling the rear wheel.
Prices and Specifications
Prices for the new models are likely to be announced in the coming months; however, expect the Manx R to be pitched and priced against equivalent-powered superbikes from the likes of BMW, Ducati and Aprilia.
Atlas and Manx Launched
Alongside the Manx R unveiled at EICMA, is a new Manx model - a street fighter-esque version of the R with a slightly more versatile riding position and two new adventure bikes carrying forward the Atlas name. The Atlas and Atlas GT both use a smaller 585cc twin-cylinder engine built in partnership with the owners at TVS in India. Details for all new Norton models will follow very soon.
