Is this the Peugeot 208 of the future? Upcoming Polygon Concept drops all sorts of hints
Peugeot has revealed the first image of its Polygon Concept ahead of its full unveiling on November 12.
The French brand says the concept’s “feline futuristic design” demonstrates its “vision for the future”, but could this future be a brand new 208? The current second-generation version has been on roads since 2019 and will be joined by the e-208 GT in 2026; however, this concept looks to be on a different level of ambition entirely.
So what should we expect from the Peugeot Polygon Concept?
Having only been shown the one image so far (above), standout features we have been told about are its Hypersquare steering wheel with steer-by-wire technology (seen also on the 2023 Inception Concept) and its abundance of cabin space, which can be seen through the extensive use of glass.
From the outside, the Peugeot hot hatch silhouette remains more or less intact, although a new lighting style is just about visible.
Further details will have to wait until the Polygon Concept’s full unveiling on November 12. Ahead of that, Peugeot is inviting fans to visit Peugeot Polygon City, an island created in the game Fortnite…
…yep, me either.
The Hypersquare control system was previously shown on the 2023 Inception Concept
