Audi Concept C rolls into London
The Audi Concept C descended on the Below The Lights events space in Piccadilly Circus, London, for its UK public debut, with Audi bosses saying it will reflect the brand’s new design philosophy in the future.
Concept C was unveiled in September, with a derivative of it set to go into production in 2027.
Exterior Design Language
“Radical simplicity is the core of Audi’s new design philosophy,” says Audi AG Chief Creative Officer, Massimo Frascella. “True clarity is achieved by reducing everything to the essential —the Concept C is the first manifestation of a new design language that feels intuitive, confident, and unmistakably Audi.”
While the Concept C represents a new design philosophy, something that will remain is the Singleframe grille, which has been a fixture on Audi models since its introduction on the Audi A6 in 2004. It has been given a new interpretation that takes inspiration from the Auto Union Type C from 1936 and sits centrally between new light signatures featuring four horizontally arranged elements in each headlight.
Interior
The ‘radical simplicity’ philosophy is carried inside Concept C, with a minimalist interior of geometric forms comprising anodised aluminium on surfaces and physical controls, one of which activates the retractable folding hardtop roof - the first time this has been featured on an Audi roadster. The interior matches the exterior with a titanium-inspired colour finish.
Future Audi Releases
It is a crucial time in Audi’s history as the brand aims to renew its entire model portfolio with a number of new electric and ICE vehicles. Audi's 2026 releases include a redesigned A6 saloon and a new Q3 SUV, alongside the new A6 e-tron and Q6 e-tron electric models.
