Mini eMastered by David Brown Automotive

Britain company David Brown Automotive has revealed the arrival of Mini eMastered, combining bespoke luxury with one of the most classic car designs.

The all-electric creation marks a new era for David Brown Automotive, a brand dating back to 2013 and born out of British businessman David Brown’s love for iconic classic cars and craftsmanship. Its current model lineup includes Speedback GT, Speedback Silverstone Edition, Mini Remastered, Mini Remastered, Oselli Edition, Mini Remastered Marshall Edition and now Mini eMastered. At its 18,000 sq ft facility in Silverstone, production will begin in combining timeless aesthetics with electric power ahead of the first example being revealed later this autumn.

Weighing only 640kg, the Mini eMastered comes in at the same weight as an original ICE car, although will give owners a much quieter driving experience. Thanks to the power dense Zonic 70 motor emitting 72kW, 0-62mph can be achieved in 8.5 seconds and a top speed of 92mph can be done in sports mode.

The eMastered is seemingly designed to be a city car as it only has a range of 110 miles from its 18.8kWh battery and a typical home wall box charging point will see the battery fully replenished in about three hours. New technologies are embraced in the cockpit, like a modern integrated infotainment system, featuring Apple CarPlay and Andriod Auto.

The one selling point with David Brown Automotive is the owner’s ability to customise and tailor the car to their preferences, with choices available from a range of bespoke options all handcrafted by an expert team of artisan coachbuilders at the Silverstone facility.
