MG Cyberster Trophy and GT now available to order

First UK deliveries are planned for this coming August.

MG cyberster

There has been a lot of excitement and expectation around the MG Cyberster ever since it was first revealed in May 2023. It took on the iconic Goodwood Hill at last year’s Festival of Speed and was recently spotted on the lawns of Salon Privé London. Now, order books for the EV roadster are open and potential customers have the choice between Trophy or GT trim.

Both the Cyberster Trophy and GT have been perfected during an 18-month development programme by MG’s Longbridge engineering team who also worked on the MG4 EV.

Starting from £54,995, the single-motor Cyberster Trophy delivers 335bhp and 475Nm of torque with a 0-62mph time of 5 seconds. This is the option with more range at an estimated 316 miles.

For a little extra cash (£59,995), the Cybster GT will have a lot of extra power at around 496bhp and 725Nm of torque making it the most powerful production model in MG’s 100-year history. A rapid 0-62mph time of 3.2 seconds for the dual motor, all-wheel drive GT puts it up there with others in its class. The more performance-focused Cybster has a range of 276 miles, though a rapid charge of 10% to 80% can be delivered in just 38 minutes.

Both versions boast scissor doors and a fully electric fabric hood that can be opened or closed at speeds of up to 30mph in around 15 seconds. Four drive modes - Comfort, Custom, Sport and Track - allow drivers to tailor the Cyberster for their particular journey type and both come with MG’s seven-year, 80,000-mile warranty. Brembo brakes and three-mode regenerative braking help to maximise energy efficiency and extend driving range. For the Trophy spec, the cat sits on 19-inch alloy Lightning design wheels, while the GT comes with 20-inch Jetstream-design alloys with Pirelli P Zero tyres.

MG hasn’t put all its efforts into performance and the Cyberster’s interior is luxurious with the technology to match. There are 6-way adjustable heated seats with memory function, a heated steering wheel and twin paddles to assist with kinetic regeneration. There’s a central 10.25-inch driver display accompanied by two 7-inch screens on either side and the centre console is operated as a touchscreen. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are accommodated and other features include an 8-speaker Bose sound system, DAB and voice recognition, a 360° parking camera and twin USB ports as standard.

The Cyberster works as a grand tourer with 249 litres of boot space and extra storage is provided in the central armrest.

Customers will surely be able to customise their Cyberster to their taste as MG offer 32 colour combinations to choose from.
