Red Bull Racing’s 20th Anniversary Celebrations

There’s big news ahead of next month’s Goodwood Festival of Speed as Max Verstappen and teammate Sergio Pérez have been confirmed to appear as part of Red Bull Racing’s 20th anniversary celebrations.

It had previously been announced that Christian Horner would be appearing at the event, while anticipation builds ahead of the unveiling of Red Bull’s new hypercar and Adrian Newey’s passion project, the RB17.

World Debut of the RB17 Hypercar

The world debut of the RB17 Hypercar will take place on Friday 12th July and will be followed by hill runs and a balcony moment on Sunday featuring a host of figures who have played a part in making Red Bull Racing the powerhouse it is today.

Red Bull Icons and Drivers at Goodwood

Along with the current drivers and team principal at Red Bull, ex-drivers Mark Webber, David Coulthard and Christian Klien will pilot various Red Bull racers from the last twenty years. Ex-Red Bull man and current RB driver Daniel Ricciardo completes the list of drivers appearing.

Verstappen will be making his Goodwood debut and his presence also marks the first appearance of a current Formula 1 world champion at the Festival of Speed.

Since Red Bull made its debut in Formula 1 at the 2005 Australian Grand Prix, they have notched 120 race wins, seven driver’s championships and six constructors’ titles.

Remarks from the Duke of Richmond

The Duke of Richmond, founder of the Festival of Speed said: “In its 31-year history, this is the first time that the Festival of Speed has celebrated a Formula 1 team on this scale. To have both the current drivers – not to mention the reigning World Champion – the CEO and Team Principal, as well as so many team icons is fantastic. Goodwood’s motorsport events have always prided themselves on the access that they offer fans and I am delighted that Oracle Red Bull Racing has fulfilled our ambition by bringing together such an illustrious and outstanding group of drivers and cars.”
