Alpine to Reveal 2024 Hypercar at Le Mans

Following Esteban Ocon’s brilliant third place finish in Monaco last month, Alpine will look to continue its upward trajectory in the world of racing by unveiling its future hypercar at Le Mans set to compete at next year’s World Endurance Championship. The unveiling, happening at the new Alpine Paddock on June 8th, will showcase the car due to compete in the premier class of endurance racing from next year. Competing with other hypercars from brands like Peugeot and Ferrari, the LMDh is being developed in line with its entry in the LMP2 category. Two crews are currently entered in the 2023 FIA World Endurance Championship racing in the Alpine A470 in what the French brand deems as its ‘transition season’, before returning to the top tier category next year.

The day before, the French brand is to unveil its A110 R Le Mans limited edition. The A110 has already been well received, with critics praising its lightness and uniqueness compared to similar efforts from rival brands. Another edition, the A110 Pikes Peak, will take to the mountains in Colorado to compete later this month in the legendary American Race to the Clouds.

Also displayed at the Alpine Paddock will be its electric hot hatch the A290_β, first seen in Bristol on May 9th and the Alpine Alpenglow. The hydrogen-powered concept car was presented at the Paris motor show last October and will be on display on June 6th as Alpine looks towards the future of sustainability.
