Theon Design Unveils Second 911 UK Commission

Theon Design 911

Theon Design has revealed its latest bespoke UK restomod using a 1992 Porsche 911 (964) Carrera 2. GBR002, in Oak Green metallic with dark ‘ghost’ stripes, is its second 911 creation and all modifications have, according to Theon Design, "‘been carried out in a high considered, decidedly ‘Porsche’, way.”

Based in Deddington, Oxfordshire, Theon Design was founded by Adam Hawley and Lucinda Argy. Using Hawley’s knowledge acquired working for numerous OEMs and Argy’s marketing and business skills, they combined with their team of in house experts to develop bespoke commissions for clients around the globe. The builds are of the highest quality and over the last couple of years, the production capabilities have expanded significantly, thanks to a new purpose built facility and additional staff. 964s are the speciality and are offered for sale in every major territory, all built by hand with explicit attention to detail.

Sitting on 18-inch Fuchs-style wheels, the full carbon-bodied 964 has a 4.0-litre naturally aspirated air-cooled flat-six engine which delivers 406bhp - Theon’s most powerful to date. Performance and driveability aren’t compromised with a new five-stage TracTive electronic damping system working with a limited slip differential to improve the ride around corners, along with a full RS braking kit.

Inside the car, Theon Design’s aluminium upgrade interior package retains the look and feel of a classic Porsche cockpit but with substantially better quality. Muslin leather seats and trim, with woven leather sections and green stripes to match the exterior enhance the interior further. A Bluetooth stereo and wireless phone charging through a new centre console brings this 1992 964 into the modern day.

“We set out to enhance every element on the car, but we’re also careful to work in line with Porsche’s philosophy,” explained Theon Co-Founder Adam Hawley. “From engineering and build to material selection and finishing, when we improve the car, we’re determined to preserve the 911’s essential essence. A Theon Design car still feels like a classic Porsche, just one that’s elevated to a new level of performance and useability. We strive to create the perfect blend of aesthetic, performance, and dynamic enhancements - creating something that’s thrillingly new, yet familiar in all the right ways.”

Prices for Theon Design commissions start at £380,000. Each car takes 18 months to build and the price excludes donor car, shipping, and local taxes.
