Renault is set for a busy Paris Motor Show, where the brand will choose to showcase its Twingo E-Tech prototype alongside a host of other models from its future range.

The prototype was initially revealed in November 2023, although the Twingo name is one we’ve been familiar with since its introduction in 1992. Renault aims to bring the qualities associated with the original to its prototype, namely its minimalistic silhouette, headlamps and agility. The French brand calls the Twingo E-Tech “an all-electric car designed for city driving without compromises.”

The Twingo E-Tech is a five door electric car with a fixed glass roof, keeping the interior feeling bright and spacious. Modern changes have been made from the original, including headlamps inside floating LEDs and protruding taillights. The three air vents seen on the bonnet have been kept in tribute to the original despite no longer being needed. Twingo lettering at the centre of the tailgate is the cherry on the cake, for now. More will be revealed when the 2024 Paris Motor Show kicks off on October 14th.

Renault says the prototype paves the way for a fourth-generation production version in 2026, developed by Ampere. The brand also says it will aim to offer an entry price of under £17k, following similar lower entry points in other models in its electric lineup.
