Playseat and F1 create foldable sim racing seat to make you feel like Lando Norris
An exhilarating Formula 1 season came to a close yesterday as Lando Norris was crowned world champion ahead of Max Verstappen in Abu Dhabi.
Fans now face the three month wait before they can watch it all again, starting in Melbourne with the Australian Grand Prix, although there may be a solution to make that wait a little more bearable thanks to Playseat.
This is the Challenge DD - F1 Edition, the world’s first foldable F1 sim racing seat and the third addition in collaboration with the sport. It has been thoughtfully designed to replicate the exact position that Norris et al sit in while whipping their racers around circuits all over the world, and is probably the closest thing we dreamers are likely to get to competing in the top level of motorsport. And it doesn’t even clog up your living room…job done.
Constructed from high-carbon steel and weighing 16.5kg, the seat has a Twinlock advanced locking system keeping it secure in position while in use, as well as ActiFit premium breathable fabric to provide support and airflow if endurance racing is your bag.
The F1 Edition can be adapted to people of all shapes and sizes, catering for different skill levels and easily adjustable without tools for quick driver swaps.
Priced at £349, the Challenge DD – F1 Edition is available to buy from Playseat.com in late January and is compatible with all major consoles.
