Nissan Juke turns yellow for 2024 upgrade
The Nissan Juke has had a mid-lifecycle refresh for 2024. Since its first release, the Juke has been one of the most popular small SUVs in the UK and its current generation - released five years ago - continues to sell in strong numbers. Nissan’s designers and engineers have made significant changes to the Juke’s interior, introduced a new N-Sport trim level and gone back to yellow, a colour for the first-generation Juke.

“2023 was the current generation Juke’s best-selling year and these latest updates retain its distinctive style while enhancing connectivity, quality, interior design and safety to ensure it stays ahead of the competition.”

Such is the popularity of the Juke, nothing has changed in terms of its exterior design other than the new yellow paint colour, although new Pearl White and Pearl Black colours are also available. The N-Sport trim gives hints of black to the wheel arches, roof, wing mirrors and grille.
Inside, however, things look a lot different, the biggest change being the new 12.3-inch central infotainment screen. It now has an improved voice recognition and can ignore subtleties like hesitations or pauses to take what you say as a command. As is expected in nearly all modern cars, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are also now available.
You’ll be sitting on a new N-Sport seat with yellow recycled Alcantara inserts to match the exterior paint colour. ‘Juke’ is embossed at shoulder height and there’s yellow stitching to match.
Starting from N-Connecta grade, all versions come with a wireless charging pad which can accommodate even the largest smartphone, with both USB-A and USB-C sockets for use, also. The updated Juke comes with a standard Intelligent Driver Alertness system with lane assist and a 360-degree parking camera both optional extras.
Two powertrain options are available for the Juke, with customers able to choose between the 1.0-litre three-cylinder DIG-T turbocharged engine - as either a six-speed manual or seven-speed dual-clutch automatic - or Juke Hybrid, which has a self-charging system combining the 93bhp petrol engine with a 48bhp electric motor. With the petrol version comes a driving mode selector (Eco, Standard, Sport), so drivers can match their driving style to any scenario.
Will the popularity of the Juke continue? More than 1.3 million units have been built at Nissan’s Sunderland Plant since the original was launched in 2010 and it is now the fourth most manufactured model there behind the Qashqai, Micra and Primera.
In terms of price, nothing has been revealed yet. However, the previous outgoing generation start from around £21,000 so it will be a tad more than that.
