Lamborghini Temerario Tricolore is a tribute to Italy
Lamborghini has revealed its love letter to Italy in the form of a bespoke configuration, recently unveiled at Monterey Car Week.
The Temerario Tricolore was revealed on stage at The Quail alongside the brand new Revuelto SV, and is the first Lamborghini to bear the Tricolore name since 2011’s Gallardo LP 550-2 Tricolore — a car that commemorated the 150th anniversary of Italian unification.
The model is a design collaboration between Lamborghini Centro Stile and the brand’s Ad Personam programme, and has been created to showcase the personalisation options available to customers as part of the buying process. It follows two Ad Personam configurations that were recently on display at this summer’s Goodwood Festival of Speed and comes as Lamborghini celebrates the 20th anniversary of the bespoke programme.
On its exterior, the Temerario has a two-tone exterior made up of a Blu Martinus Shiny (blue) lower body and Bianco Monocerus (white) upper colour, which includes the doors and fenders. The mirrors, wheels and engine cover have contrasting Glossy Nero Noctis (black) details, while Rosso (red) brake callipers add a pop of colour.
The headline maker here, however, is the Italian flag graphic, which stretches along the centre of the bonnet and embodies the Tricolore name.
Inside, the Tricolore theme continues, with Nero Ade upholstery complemented by Rosso Alala contrast stitching.
Powering the Temerario Tricolore is Lamborghini’s hybrid powertrain, comprising a newly developed 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 combined with three electric motors, putting out a total of 907bhp and capable of 10,000rpm.
This translates to rapid performance, with a 0-62mph sprint taking just 2.7 seconds on the way to a top speed of 211mph.
