Kia EV4 exterior design unveiled

Hatchback and saloon designs revealed ahead of world premiere

Kia has revealed designs for its new EV4 hatchback and saloon variants which the brand says will “enhance the appeal of Kia’s EV offering” to a wider range of customers. Along with the usual fancy jargon, Kia has also said the approach “ensures both models are equally at home on urban streets or continent-crossing adventures.”

The world premiere will take place at the brand’s second Kia EV Day event in Tarragona, Spain, where further details of the EV4 will be released.

EV4 Hatchback

Going for a solid, modern look, the EV4 hatchback sits on 19 inch wheels with geometric patterns on the lower body sections giving it a unique touch. Compared to the saloon, it has sharper, more sculpted lines, while the EV4’s darkened A, B and C-pillars are carried over from the 2023 concept.

EV4 Saloon

With the EV4 Saloon, Kia has chosen a more streamlined silhouette, incorporating a low bonnet and long-tail design. A new roof spoiler gives it a sportier feel, while the car sits on 19 inch wheels with a technical stripe pattern.

At the front, the brand’s EV Tiger Face is arranged with vertical headlamps and its Star Map lighting signature, although it is a smoother, more curved face overall. From the rear angle, there is a two piece rear spoiler working in tandem with more vertical lights at the ends of each section and a clean bumper design.

There will also be an even sportier aesthetic for those who go for the GT-Line option.

What is happening at 2025 Kia EV Day?

Alongside the debut and extensive details of the Kia EV4, the event in Spain on 24 February promises to share further details of the brand’s expanded electrification strategy. Last year, Kia revealed its future plans with the aim of offering 15 different EV models by 2027, although this may now be altered.

A video of the event will be released on Kia’s YouTube channel in March.
