KAMM expands range with 912T touring model
Hungary-based company KAMM has introduced a new model to its ever-growing range with the arrival of the 912T.
KAMM, which specialises in 912 sports cars produced between 1965 and 1969, says the 912T delivers on the brand’s Dare to Drive mantra, and its arrival comes as global deliveries of the 912C continue to gather pace across the world.
And while the 912C is built for ‘purists’ looking for something to tackle all things performance-based, the 912T is a more comfortable and relaxing version for those keen on doing a bit of touring.
Weight, performance and comfort
At 860kg, the 912T is 100kg lighter than the original 912 and is helped to that figure by the use of carbon fibre on the bumpers, wings, bonnet and boot lid, all made in-house.
The team at KAMM includes former engineers from Porsche, Singer and Koenigsegg, who have all crafted the ‘616’ four-cylinder engine to help it deliver 165bhp and 201Nm of torque, with a redline of 6,500rpm. While this is lower than the 912C, it is done purposefully to ensure smoother, more ‘civilised motoring’, without compromising on the overall performance.
A tailor-made one-way Tractive suspension system adds to that comfortable ride, and there is the choice of Fuchs or steel-looking 15-inch alloy wheels.
Interior
The comfier touring seats are, once again, provided by Fusina, while the instruments in front of the driver are the work of Smiths. A discreetly hidden audio system and wireless phone charging bring the original 1960s model further into the modern era.
KAMM 912T Price
Prices for the KAMM 912T start at €245,000 (£212,000), although that excludes the cost of the donor car. KAMM is set to build 912Ts in batches of five, with production set to begin in early 2026. A deposit of €10,000 (£8,660) is required for those interested in reserving a build slot.
