INEOS launches Grenadier Commercial
The two-seater qualifies for VAT reclamation and is a UK exclusive.
INEOS has added another vehicle - the Grenadier Commercial - to its range. The new Grenadier replaces the two-seat Utility Wagon in its lineup. Only available to buy in the UK, owners will be in line to reclaim VAT and receive lower benefit in kind (BIK) tax rates.
The Grenadier Commercial features a full length flat floor with a floor to roof cargo barrier separating the two front seats from 2,000 litres of load space. Not only that, but it has a 3.5-tonne towing capacity and 5.5 tonnes of winching power to save itself or other vehicles.
The rear passenger windows have been replaced with aluminium panels on the Grenadier Commercial. Along with this, blacked out glazing on the rear doors and permanently disabled chassis mounting points (to prevent back seats from being added) all help qualify the vehicle for VAT exemption.
George Ratcliffe, Commercial Director, INEOS Automotive, commented, “Customers in the UK have been asking for this addition to our model line-up since we launched in 2022, so we’re pleased to make this available so quickly. The versatility of the Grenadier platform allows this level of modification without any compromise to the driving dynamics or off-road capabilities.”
The Grenadier Commercial is made with a full box section ladder frame chassis, solid beam axles, two-speed transfer case and up to three locking differentials. It is powered by a BMW 3.0 litre turbocharged inline six-cylinder petrol or diesel engine, specifically for this iteration. Production will take place at INEOS’ recently acquired facility in Hambach, France.
Prices start at £51,931 excluding VAT and order books are now open.
