Ferrari unveils Tailor Made 12Cilindri for South Korean market
Ferrari has unveiled a new Tailor Made 12Cilindri exclusively for the South Korean market in a collaboration which spans three continents.
Exterior
Over the course of two years, four South Korean artists, Ferrari’s Styling Centre in Europe and independent online design and technology Cool Hunting in North America combined to create this one-of-a-kind 12Cilindri, which is characterised by its new transitional Yoonseul paint scheme.
The unique colour is inspired by Korean tradition, drawing elements from the region's history and heritage, as well as the cosmopolitan influences of the capital city, Seoul. The result is a colour that goes from green to violet with blue highlights inspired by the sparkling sunlight on the sea.
The exterior livery has electric music elements thrown in, thanks to the work of sound and performance artist duo GRAYCODE, jiiiiin, who have interpreted the V12 sound from the 12Cilindri into a visual artwork rendered on to the vehicle’s bodywork.
There’s also an additional touch from artist Hyunhee Kim, whose semi-translucent acrylic work is used on the distinctive Scuderia Ferrari shields, its wheel caps, long F nameplate and Prancing Horse.
Interior
Korean artist Dahye Jeong’s traditional horsehair weaving pattern, which has been a feature of her artwork, is used throughout the interior of this one-off Ferrari. A 3D fabric pattern is used on the seats, floor and soft surfaces, while the glass roof of the 12Cilindri has the same pattern in a screen printing. Hand-woven Mongolian horsehair is used on the car’s dashboard in what is a first for the Prancing Horse.
Further work from Hyunhee Kim is seen on the modified centre tunnel with translucent effect, alongside a handmade dedication plate featuring traditional calligraphy from the artist and the project’s name.
Overview & Price
Originally inspired by the iconic Ferrari Gran Turismo models of the 1950s and 1960s, this one-off 12Cilindri is powered by the same 6.5-litre V12, putting out 818bhp and capable of 9,500rpm. This allows it to accelerate from 0-62mph in 3 seconds flat and is also capable of a top speed in excess of 211mph.
How much will this Tailor Made Ferrari cost? That’s anyone’s guess at the moment. When the 12Cilindri was revealed in 2024, prices started at £336,500 for the Coupé and £366,500 for the Spider in the UK. Expect a significant addition to that figure.
