Drive To Survive Season 6 coming soon to Netflix

Drive to Survive

The latest instalment of Netflix’s popular Formula 1 fly on the wall documentary Drive To Survive is to be released on February 23rd.

Once again, fans will be given behind the scenes access to the world of F1 as its drivers, mechanics and bosses tell the story of the 2023 season. Its release coincides with the final day of pre-season testing in Bahrain, one week before the 2024 season gets underway.

The success of Drive To Survive has spawned similar style documentaries being produced for the world of tennis and golf. It has drawn more eyes to the sport, especially younger viewers, as people got to know the personalities behind the helmet visor.

Lesser known personalities from the world of F1, like former Haas team principal Guenther Steiner, became cult figures overnight after the release of its first season. The insight and access have grown with each season as teams recognise Drive To Survive’s importance and necessity to the sport in the social media age. That’s not to say the documentary series hasn’t had its critics. Many have been sceptical about the show creating ‘fake narratives’, including current World Champion Max Verstappen, who after one season’s filming refused to take part any longer.
