Hennessey unleashes Supercharged H700 Corvette C8 Stingray

Hennessey Supercharged 'H700' Corvette C8 Stingray

Fresh from announcing its intention to go quicker than 300mph in 2024, Texas-based hypercar manufacturer Hennessey has supercharged one of America’s favourite mid-engined sports cars to create the Hennessey Supercharged 'H700' Corvette C8 Stingray.

Taking a standard C8 convertible, Hennessey has taken its 6.2 litre V8 and installed a high-performance supercharger, air induction system with an air-to-water intercooler, and an enhanced cat-back exhaust system. Previously able to produce 490 bhp and 465 lb-ft of torque in stock configuration, this has now been boosted to give the ‘H700’ a massively improved 708 bhp and 638 lb-ft torque.

It even beats Chevrolet’s flagship C8 Z06 when it comes to engine output with the Z06 delivering 670 bhp and 460 lb-ft from its naturally-aspirated 5.5-litre LT6 flat-plane crank V8.

There are even optional upgrades available, including an active-valve exhaust system, forged 19-inch alloy wheels, and a ‘Hennessey C8 Heritage Livery’. Different colours are available on the optional Lightweight Street Wheels while there is also a choice of Blue, White, Black, Silver, or Red livery.

John Hennessey, founder and CEO: "Our supercharged C8 Convertible boosts America’s favourite sports car to extraordinary performance levels. We’ve unleashed the power that Chevrolet left on the table, boosting output by more than 200 bhp. Few cars, especially at this price, can deliver this level of power, acceleration, and engaging open-air driving experience alongside the Corvette’s distinctive V8 roar.”

The Hennessey 'H700' Corvette upgrade is available on all 2020-2024 Chevrolet C8 Corvette HTC models is available from authorised Corvette retailers, or directly from Hennessey themselves.
