Caffeine&Machine becomes official title partner of 2026 Caterham Academy championship
Every UK petrolhead’s favourite car cafe will become the official title partner of the 2026 Caterham Academy championship.
The UK’s leading amateur racing championship originally launched in 1995 and will now adopt the official name of the Caffeine&Machine Caterham Academy and will consist of seven rounds, made up of one sprint race and seven 20 minute races.
A field of 30 novice drivers will drive their own road-legal Caterham Seven, powered by a new high-performance 1.3 litre, 4-cylinder ‘HR13’ engine supplied by Horse Technologies, producing 160bhp and 250Nm of torque. They’ll also have access to technical support, expert tuition and guidance throughout the championship.
One of those novice drivers set to take part is Caffeine&Machine founder and director, Phil McGovern.
McGovern spoke about his participation in the championship and how it helps him fulfil a lifelong dream, saying: “The Caffeine&Machine Caterham Academy marks the coming together of two communities built on a shared passion for driving, competition, and the culture that surrounds it. On a personal level, this one hits home. I’m so thrilled to be joining the grid in 2026, chasing the same dream that started it all: to go fast and be part of something bigger than myself.”
The Caffeine&Machine Caterham Academy championship begins in May 2026.
