Great Northern Classics to host an ‘Evening with Ian Callum’ in Derby
Legendary automotive designer Ian Callum is the subject of the next ‘Evening with’ event at Great Northern Classics.
The event, which takes place on Thursday 19 March at the historic former Victoria Ironworks foundry in Derby, promises a rare opportunity to hear from one of the automotive industry’s most influential figures and will feature a live Q&A, anecdotes and a design masterclass from the man himself.
Assuming hosting duties for the event will be TV presenter and car collector Paul Cowland, best known for his work on Salvage Hunters: Classic Cars. He’ll be asking Callum about how he was inspired to design such cars as the Jaguar F-Type, F-Pace, I-Pace, Aston Martin DB7 and Vanquish, Ford Escort RS Cosworth, as well as his work with his relatively new company, Callum Designs.
Callum Designs has so far been dipping its toe into a variety of different cars, including its first vehicle, Skye, Jaguar C-X75 commissions, bespoke Minis in collaboration with Wood and Pickett, and even dabbling in the six-minute-charging Nyobolt EV.
Tickets are priced from £25 and available to buy from greatnorthernclassics.co.uk.
