Alpine to unveil first electric SUV in October
Alpine will reveal its A390 Beta concept on 11 October. Referred to as "the forerunner of the brand's future sport fastback” (aka SUV), the concept will then make its world debut at the Paris Motor Show from 14 to 20 October.
The A390 name is standard practice on Alpine’s production cars, which combines A with three numbers. In this case, the 3 refers to the size of the car while the 90 signifies its everyday use. Alpine use 10 - seen on the A110 - when the vehicle is performance-focused.
Production will likely begin in Alpine’s Dieppe facility in 2025 with the new model joining the brand’s electric fleet alongside the A290 hot hatch.
Alpine will have a large presence in Paris, also showcasing its Alpenglow Hy6 hydrogen prototype, the A290 and customisation examples of the A110.
