Vauxhall has unveiled the special edition Mokka Electric Griffin with prices starting at £29,495.

The new entry point to the Mokka Electric lineup has a contrasting black roof, tinted rear windows and 17-inch alloy wheels to distinguish it from the previous Design trim. There is the choice of the full Mokka exterior colour palette at no extra cost to customers, which includes metallic paint. Also, parking is now made easier with the addition of a panoramic rear-view camera and rear sensors.

Inside, the Griffin trim comes with a seven-inch colour touchscreen compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android and a seven-inch digital instrument cluster. There are heated front seats and a heated flat-bottomed leather-effect steering wheel, added for extra comfort, as well as automatic climate control. Extra convenience comes in the form of keyless starting and a retractable boot floor.

There is an array of driver assistance technology including lane departure warning with lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition, driver drowsiness alert, cruise control and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection. LED headlights, tail lights and daytime running lights with high beam assist are also new to the Griffin trim.

The Mokka Electric Griffin’ has a range of up to 209 miles thanks to its 50kWh battery and a 0-80% charge takes around half an hour on a 100kW rapid DC charger. Your standard home wall box will achieve a full charge from zero in about 7 hours.

Vauxhall has partnered with Tesco to provide new Vauxhall electric vehicle customers with one year’s free charging credit at stores across the UK.

The Vauxhall Mokka Electric Griffin is available to order from 17th April, with first deliveries starting in June.
