Triumph unveils Trident 660 Special Edition
Triumph has unveiled its new special edition Trident 660, featuring a contemporary white blue and red graphic scheme inspired by the five-time Isle of Man TT winning Trident, ‘Slippery Sam’.
On sale from next month and available for one year only, along with the colour scheme, the new Triumph pays tribute to the most famous Trident in history with a number 67 graphic. It should be instantly recognisable to those who watched the 750cc racer win race after race in the 1970s, including those TT wins from 1971-1975.
While the bike retains the same 660cc three-cylinder engine, producing 81bhp and 64Nm of torque, it has the added bonus of Triumph Shift Assist as standard which improves shifting performance and speed on its six-speed gearbox.
Paul Stroud, Chief Commercial Officer, Triumph Motorcycles said: “Since its launch in 2020, this middle-weight roadster has reinvigorated this highly competitive category, selling more than 35,600 units worldwide.
“It’s triple engine and premium detailing at a great price, has been successful in bringing younger and new riders to Triumph, and just as ‘Slippery Sam’ once inspired a generation, we believe this special edition has the iconic style, extra technology and dynamic performance to appeal to today’s Triumph fans.”
The new Trident Triple Tribute will be available from £7,895 OTR and will arrive in dealerships in April 2024.
