The BMW iX3 came out on top ahead of the Hyundai Palisade and Nissan Leaf, with the three finalists being chosen from an initial list of 58 contenders for World Car of the Year.

The award is BMW’s fourth overall What Car? Car of the Year triumph, after wins for the 5 Series in 2017, 3 Series in 2006 and 7 Series in 1988.
