Pricing and spec for Alfa Romeo Junior revealed

Order books for the first fully-electric Alfa Romeo will open later this month.

Alfa Romeo has revealed the pricing for the Junior, its first fully electric car.

Originally revealed earlier this year as the Milano paying tribute to the city where Alfa’s story began in 1910, the name was changed to Junior following legal objections from the Italian government who weren’t happy with Alfa’s decision to build the car in Poland rather than its homeland of Italy.

The Junior is available in three different trim levels. Junior Elettrica and Speciale both feature the 156hp powertrain, while the Veloce pushes 240hp.

The pricing for each option is as follows:

Alfa Romeo Junior 156hp Speciale - £35,695
Alfa Romeo Junior 240hp Veloce - £42,295

The 156hp versions come with 250 miles of range as opposed to 215 miles in the sportier 240hp Veloce, while all can charge from 10-80% in under 30 minutes with the use of a 100kW rapid charger. The boot also has 400 litres of capacity on all variants.

Entry level Junior - £33,895

The entry-level Junior features 18-inch diamond cut aero alloy wheels, LED headlamps and taillamps, gloss black mirror covers, rain sensing wipers and rear parking sensors as standard. Inside, there are Icona seats with black/blue cloth, eight-colour ambient lighting marking out the air vents, a central tunnel, and 10.25-inch configurable Cannocchiale instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch driver oriented central screen with Apple Car Play and Android Auto and 60/40 folding rear seats. Safety features such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Active Lane Assist and Automatic Emergency Braking, e-Call and Alfa Romeo Connected Services are included while keyless starting, heat pump, Mode 3 charging cable and an 11kW on-board charger complete the standard specification.

Junior Speciale - £35,695

Building on the entry level version, the Speciale adds a sports styling kit with diamond black Scudetto, dark tinted rear windows and 18-inch Petali alloy wheels. Inside, there’s Spiga vinyl and fabric six-way electrically operated driver’s seat with massage function, leather steering wheel, sports pedals and kick plates. A 10.25-inch infotainment with navigation, 180-degree rear camera, Adaptive Cruise Control with lane centring and traffic jam assist, hands-free electric tailgate and keyless entry with proximity access technology all come as standard.

Junior Veloce - £42,295

The 240hp Veloce model is the sportier of the trim levels and has Torsen differential, 25mm lower suspension and sport brake calipers. There are 20-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, a black roof, dark tinted rear windows, red painted brake callipers and a sports styling kit with diamond black Scudetto. Looking inside, Corsa Sabelt seats in black and red leather and suede, a leather steering wheel, sports pedals and kick plates all come as standard in the top of the range version.
