Lotus reveals Emeya pricing

Lotus Emeya

Lotus has revealed the UK and EU pricing for its first electric hyper-GT, Emeya.

Having launched in China on January 18th, it is set to be received by customers in Europe from Q3 this year. The online car configurator has also been launched allowing people to personalise their Emeya before placing an order.

As well as pricing, further details have been released by Lotus about its Emeya. The Norfolk-based marque claims it has a 20% boosted range of 379 miles thanks to the layout of its batteries and can achieve a 10-80% charge in just 18 minutes.

In terms of performance, the Emeya has 905bhp and can achieve 0-62mph in under 2.8 seconds, making it one of the quickest EVs in the world. A new high performance twin layer battery design’s cooling attributes help it sustain performance and lightweight carbon ceramic brakes reduce weight and braking distance.

Five driving modes - Range, Tour, Sport, Individual and Track - can be selected and drivers also have the ability to control ride height, air suspension stiffness, acceleration response and seat configuration to tailor to different driving environments.

There is ample leg space for four passengers and boot space of up to 509 litres. An Advanced intelligent panoramic glass roof, ambient lighting functions and power-assisted doors add to the practicality and driving experience. A 15.1 inch HD infotainment system features an interactive 3D display of the Emeya with access to numerous functions. The car is also able to respond in real time to changes made by the driver and adjust accordingly.

The Emeya is offered in six colours - Boreal Grey, Fireglow Orange, Solar Yellow, Akoya. White, Stellar Black and Kaimu Grey - and is available in three variants.

Emeya, the entry point, starts at £94,950.

Emeya S, the well equipped Hyper-GT model, starts at £107,450,

Emeya R, the flagship model, starts at £129,950.

Commenting on the Emeya, Feng Qingfeng, CEO, Lotus Group, said: “Electric cars do not have to be boring. We are combining our rich sports car heritage with the latest cutting-edge technologies to redefine what it means to drive an electric vehicle. Emeya seamlessly blends exceptional ride and handling with world-class luxury, performance, comfort, connectivity, and range – bringing drivers the ultimate grand tourer package with the unrivalled driving experience of a true Lotus.”
