Lamborghini Huracan STJ says goodbye to the V10

Lamborghini has revealed the Huracan STJ as the brand brings an end to nearly 11 years of the model, with a new V8-engined hybrid set to replace it later this year.

The STJ, which stands for Super Trofeo Jota, will be limited to just 10 units (which have already been sold) and is powered by the same naturally aspirated 5.2 litre V10 as the Huracan STO. The 639bhp V10 can achieve 8000 rpm, a 0-62mph time of 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 192mph.

There is a choice of two liveries: grey and black or blue and black which both come with red and white detailing. The interior uses Alcantara and carbon fibre and features a special, numbered carbon fibre plate marked “1 of 10”. In addition, there is the option to add a custom plate on the passenger side according to the customer’s instructions.

While the front bumper is the same as the STO, the rear wing angle has been increased and is balanced by two all-new carbon fibre flicks to improve aerodynamics. Downforce has also been improved by around 10% and a new set of racing shock absorbers allow for further adjustability when driving.

Special Bridgestone Potenza tyres wrap around 20-inch alloy wheels and contribute to the STJ’s one-second quicker performance over a lap at the Nardo proving ground than the STO.

There’s been no word on the price yet, though a figure of over £350,000 has been rumoured. However, as previously mentioned, all 10 have already been sold.
