H.R. Owen Group adds Lotus to its portfolio

Luxury automotive dealer group H.R. Owen has added Lotus to its lineup of luxury and performance car brands.

H.R. Owen is one of the leading dealer groups and currently is the official UK retailer for iconic brands including Aston Martin, Bentley, Ferrari, Bugatti, Lamborghini and Rolls-Royce. The addition of Lotus comes as the Norfolk-based marque’s newest models like the Evija, Emira, Eletre and most recently, the Emeya, are still fresh to the market.

H.R. Owen has a rich history of more than 90 years in luxury car sales and its flagship dealership, Jack Barclay, has been in operation in Mayfair since 1927. The new Lotus showroom in Hatfield is located at H.R Owen’s multi-marque facility which also includes Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati and Bentley showrooms.

Mike Johnstone, Chief Commercial Officer, Lotus, added: “The global reputation of H. R. Owen and its discerning customer base makes it an ideal new partner for Lotus in the UK. The Hatfield site is in an excellent and easily accessible location north of London and will significantly improve brand visibility in the south-east of England.”

Lotus is going through a pivotal moment in its esteemed history as it moves away from the internal combustion engine to a fully electric fleet. The Emira was the last petrol-powered sports car from Lotus, while the new Emeya is an electric hyper GT that signals which direction the brand intends to head in. With its dual motor set up delivering up to 905hp, a 0-60mph time of 2.8 seconds and 370 miles of potential range, the future for Lotus will stay true to its wealth of performance history. Deliveries for the Emeya will start in spring.
