Honda 0 Series showcased with two EV concepts

At the CES 2024 event in Las Vegas, Honda unveiled its ‘Honda 0 Series’ which will launch in 2026 worldwide. Two concept models - Saloon and Space-Hub - were presented for the first time to demonstrate what it's all about. Also being shown for the first time was the new H mark that will be used exclusively for the next generation of EV models from Honda.

The aptly named Saloon has a sweeping shape and is distinguishable by its two rectangular LED lights at either end with the Japanese brand’s new retro-style ‘H’ lit up at the front while the rear has the ‘Honda’ name on display. It looks low in stature and edgy as you’d expect any concept car to be.

Inside the car, a simple yet futuristic cabin has a single screen and a yoke steering wheel with steer-by-wire technology. Honda says all materials used in building every aspect of the car have been sustainably sourced and that a production car based on the Saloon will be coming to North America in 2026 before being introduced worldwide.

The bigger and boxier Space-Hub EV SUV borrows some of the design themes from the Saloon like the rear rectangular LED light but offers much more in terms of space. Passengers can sit across from each other in curved seats and look up out of the clear glass roof. Honda hasn’t elaborated on whether this concept will go into production in any form, however, technological elements of the 0 series will be used across all future cars such as the integration of artificial intelligence - something also showcased by other companies at CES 2024 this week.

By demonstrating the beginnings of its Honda 0 Series, the Japanese brand shows it is serious about committing to 100% electrification by 2040 and a carbon neutrality target across all products and corporate activities by 2050.
