Forged in STEEL - Limited edition of Isuzu D-Max is back for 2025

New Isuzu D-Max STEEL Edition is an exclusive take on the top tier V-Cross model

After receiving an “overwhelming response” in 2024, Isuzu has unveiled a new version of its muscular D-Max STEEL Edition for 2025.

Dressed in a Steel Grey Mica finish, the limited edition model also features dark grey wheel arch fender flares, rear arch extensions and roof rails, as well as a dark grey Isuzu grille emblem and STEEL branded side graphics. Perhaps take a little more care when driving this at night, as this edition is pretty much the opposite of reflective.

Performance

Using the New Isuzu D-Max V-Cross as its starting point, the STEEL Edition is powered by the brand’s 1.9-litre turbo diesel engine, which delivers 161bhp and 360Nm of torque and is paired with a 6-speed auto transmission. This enables a 3.5 tonne towing capacity, while the new Rough Terrain Mode provides greater capability on difficult landscapes, including an 800mm wading depth.

Other standard features include keyless entry, parking sensors and a reversing camera for a little extra convenience.

Interior and tech

Inside, Isuzu has made sure your fellow passengers recognise its exclusive status, with the STEEL lettering embossed on headrests, luxury carpet mats and scuff plates. That’s if they haven’t already seen the STEEL lettering illuminated puddle lamps and tailgate badge.

As for the interior itself, Isuzu has redesigned the whole thing, putting in a new 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system featuring DAB Radio, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as an 8-speaker system. There is also an improved 7-inch multi-information driver display with a ton of safety tech and premium leather upholstery has been used throughout.

How much is the Isuzu D-Max STEEL Edition and how many will be made?

The new exclusive production is limited to just 250 units, with prices starting from £42,695. It is now available to buy across the Isuzu UK dealer network.
