Ice Ice Baby! Bugatti takes on the frozen Lake St. Moritz - In Pictures
Three Bugatti Bolide models showcased their winter capabilities and wowed spectators by sliding across a frozen Lake at The ICE St. Moritz event last weekend.
The ICE St Moritz event prides itself on being ‘a Concours d'Elégance immersed in nature’, where ‘style, prestige, and artistry meet’ surrounded by a glorious alpine backdrop.
And for the three drivers, if it wasn’t already enough to own a Bolide, to then take the track-only 1,578 bhp beast on a frozen lake is an experience many of us can only ever dream of.
Veyron special editions join the party
The Bugatti fleet didn’t stop there, with three special edition ‘Soleil de Nuit’, ‘Rembrandt Bugatti’ and ‘Meo Costantini’ Veyron Grand Sport Vitesses models from the Les Légendes de Bugatti collection joining the fun at The ICE event. The ‘Meo Costantini’ model was, in particular, honoured with a newly unveiled 75% scale chromed tribute Type 35 from Hedley Studios (formerly the Little Car Company) called the Bugatti Baby II ‘Meo Costantini’.
A nod to the past
There was also a look back at some of the early Bugatti models that paved the way for the brand, with Type 13, Type 35, and Type 37A examples taking part in the ‘Open Wheels’ class, as well as the iconic EB110 in the ‘Birth of the Hypercar’ category.
