Ben Collins & DriveTribe to Accelerate Partnership

Ben Collins

You will see much more of Ben Collins on DriveTribe in the coming weeks and months as the company and racing driver ramp up its partnership to produce even more content.

Formerly known best for his work as ‘The Stig’ on Top Gear in the noughties, Ben Collins has had an illustrious career, competing in various forms of motor racing - including four appearances at Le Mans - and working as a stunt driver in ‘The Dark Knight Rises’, ‘Ford vs Ferrari’ and the James Bond films ‘Quantum of Solace’ and ‘Skyfall’.

Nowadays, after taking off his Stig’s helmet, he can be frequently seen on YouTube, excelling as a presenter for DriveTribe and his own channel, ‘BenCollinsDrives’, driving anything from classic cars to the latest supercars, all while offering his expert opinion. The collaboration will see him become a more prominent presenter on DriveTribe, with its newly acquired video production outfit, Centric Creative, also helping to produce content on his own channel.

DriveTribe has undergone well documented change since its launch in 2016 by Richard Hammond, James May and Jeremy Clarkson. Now fronted by Mike Fernie - who gave us a brilliantly insightful interview on the Driven Chat podcast - and Hammond, the company is fully focused on its YouTube channel that boasts 2.4 million subscribers and recently sold out its first live event at the Haynes Motor Museum in Somerset.

Dave Murdoch, Managing Director at DriveTribe, said: “Ben Collins is a true icon in the automotive world. Over the years, he has firmly established himself as an engaging and natural presenter since he took off The Stig’s helmet.

Ben Collins mirrored his excitement about the new partnership: “I have worked with the DriveTribe team in some shape or form for many years now and I am thrilled to be strengthening my ties with them and continue working with the mighty Centric Creative team.

“Centric Creative have filmed some stonking content for my channel, BenCollinsDrives, for a while now and played an important part in building my channel prior to this announcement. This collaboration will mean we get to produce even more content for DriveTribe’s loyal fanbase as well as make some great content for my own channel.”
