The new Aston Martin Vanquish was given a glittering premiere at the Venice Film Festival featuring figures from the world of sport, film and fashion.

The final car in its next generation range was revealed earlier this week and was showcased at Arsenale di Venezia on the waters of the Venetian Lagoon. It follows equally impressive launches of the DB12 at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2023 and the Vantage at Silverstone in February of this year.

Powered by a brand new bespoke V12, the new Vanquish is Aston Martin’s fastest-ever production car and is the third to be given the Vanquish nameplate. The original V12 Vanquish was launched in 2001 as a successor to the Virage and played an important role in the 2002 Pierce Brosnan James Bond film Die Another Day.

The most recent actor to play the famous British spy, Daniel Craig, was among those in attendance posing for photos with the brand’s new flagship model. Other names from the world of film included George Clooney, Michael Douglas, Benedict Cumberbatch, Michael Douglas, Kevin Costner and Adrien Brody.

The new Vanquish was revealed at the event by current Aston Martin F1 drivers Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll, both fresh from Sunday’s Italian Grand Prix in Monza.

Only 1,000 examples will be produced each year at a rumoured cost of £330,000

Lawrence Stroll, Executive Chairman of Aston Martin: “The arrival of Vanquish is a seminal moment for Aston Martin, completing the newest and strongest portfolio in our segment and reinforcing our ultra-luxury positioning.

“This launch toasts the renaissance of our iconic brand and the unique combination of timeless design, craft mastery and engineering innovation which defines our new generation of sportscars. Our flagship product, Vanquish embodies our commitment to both ultra-luxury and high performance, bringing Aston Martin to a new generation of drivers.”
