1956 Aston Martin DB2/4 MkII part of Bolesworth Castle auction
A no-reserve 1956 Aston Martin DB2/4 MkII restoration project is part of the upcoming Hampson Auctions sale at Bolesworth Castle in Cheshire on 12th May.
Hampson’s Managing Director Zach Hamilton commented: “For fans of early post-War David Brown Aston Martins, this is a rare and exciting chance to secure an unrestored DB2/4, with the recent engine rebuild putting the new owner one step ahead in their journey to return this highly original machine to its former glory. Add in the fact that the car is being offered at No Reserve, and it’s not surprising that we are receiving a great many enquiries from prospective bidders.”
Having already benefited from a recent, comprehensive engine recommission, 'XKO 303' represents an opportunity to own a piece of automotive history and is limited to only 761 examples.

1961 Jaguar Mk II 3.8-Litre
This no reserve Carmen Red, with burgundy leather interior, example of a Jaguar MkII saloon is back in the UK after an extended period in the United States, where it subsequently returned to these shores rust free.
Work was done to convert the car to right hand drive and to change the automatic transmission for a manual four-speed gearbox with overdrive. Despite having four previous owners over its lifespan, there are only 6,450 miles on the clock.
When the MkII was built between 1959 and 1967, it was offered with a 2.4-litre, 3.4-litre, or 3.8-litre straight six engine and was equally famed for its performance as it was for its styling.
1967 VW Type 2 (T1) Split-screen
Estimate: £20,000 - £25,000
Presented in a combination of Cumulous White and Turkis Green, this VW camper has been in its current ownership since 2014 and has undergone an extensive restoration costing in excess of £50,000. As well as a completely new interior, the camper has had a brand new engine which has covered 2000 miles since its fitting.
1976 Land Rover Lightweight Series III
No Reserve
Offered with no reserve, this Land Rover was acquired by its present owner for £600 while working in Saudi Arabia in 2001. It was driven back to the UK through Jordan Syria, Turkey, Greece, Italy, Switzerland and France over the course of a month in which the car braved countless challenges, both mechanical and bureaucratic. Is is available in left hand drive and has benefitted from a full restoration.
1989 Bentley Continental Convertible
Estimate: £100,000 - £120,000
This impeccably maintained Bentley comes with a number of desirable factory options, including Waterford crystal decanters and glasses in the driver and passenger doors. It has 47,644 miles on the clock.
