Rimac Nevera 15th Anniversary Edition celebrates significant milestone for the brand

Only nine bespoke examples will ever be built costing £1.9 million.

The Origins of Rimac Automobili

Back in 2009, Mate Rimac ignored all the doubters and founded Rimac Automobili, an all-electric brand operating out of Rimac’s homeland of Croatia.

At 19 years old, Mate Rimac set about converting a BMW E30-M3 which he used for drift and circuit races into an electric powered beast. This set the tone for what was to come during the next 15 years, with Rimac going from a one man brand to a company with over 2,200 employees working out of sites across four countries in Europe and becoming the stand out electric hypercar brand. Many records have been set along the way and Rimac is now part of the Bugatti company.

The 15th Anniversary Edition

To celebrate 15 years since its foundation, a limited number of Rimac Nevera, known as the 15th Anniversary Edition, have been created. Only nine examples will ever be built, with the attached pictures showing the first finished car in a new shade of copper and the use of matte paintwork on a Nevera for the first time.

Each of the nine anniversary editions has a number of distinguishing features, including dual colour alloy wheel design, 15 Years Anniversary badging and the distinctive Rimac circuit board pattern along the length of the car. Special one-of-nine and ‘2009-2024’ script can be seen on the armrest, while the cabin is finished in black or white with contrasting copper leather seats having ‘15’ stitched into the headrests.

Pricing and Special Features

The price for such exclusivity is €2,350,000 (£1,980,955) and each client will receive bespoke luggage that matches the interior of their Nevera. There will be the chance to see the first of the nine units at the Goodwood Festival of Speed where it will take on the iconic hill climb. A Nevera Time Attack edition set the Production Car record time of 49.32 seconds only last year.

“Honestly, when I started to tinker with my first car in a garage, I couldn’t have even dreamt of being where we are 15 years later. There were so many times in the early years that we really thought the company wouldn’t make it, so reaching the 15-year milestone felt like it was worthy of a celebration. The 15th Anniversary Edition Nevera is the car that marks our progress, revelling just how far we’ve come. From garage to global; from worrying about keeping the lights on to a 2bn EUR valuation; from converted BMW 3 Series to the world’s fastest accelerating production car and from hypercar maker to Tier 1 EV tech supplier and energy storage pioneers. All achieved in a country where all of this would have sounded like science fiction at the time of founding the company.” Mate Rimac, Founder and CEO of Rimac Group.

The Rimac Nevera is currently the most powerful production car in the world and set 27 performance records in 2023 alone, including becoming the fastest production EV car at the Nürburgring with a time of 7:05.298 minutes. Powered by its advanced battery system and electric powertrain, all developed in house, it has a top speed of 256 mph and can do 0–62 mph in 1.82 seconds.
