Nissan Reduces Pricing Across Ariya Line Up

Nissan UK has revealed the pricing across the range of its fully electric Ariya and whilst it starts from £39,645, this represents something of a saving. As bargains go by, this may not be near the top of the list but for people looking to make their first venture into the EV SUV market, this may be one of the better options.

In the latest announcement, there are savings all around and all existing 63kWh Ariya will be reduced by £3,000 whilst all 87kWh variants will be reduced by £3,750. As previously mentioned, the line up now starts at £39,645 with the Ariya Engage 2WD and the top spec Evolve+ e-4ORCE ARIYA is now available from £59,025.

Regarding technical specifications, the front wheel drive Ariya Engage is available with two battery sizes (63 or 87kWh) with a range of 251 or 330 miles respectively. Whilst these aren’t fully confirmed yet, they represent options that would suit two different types of buyers.

At the top of the range, the Evolve+ offers improving power output and acceleration over the existing Evolve grade. A substantially increased output of 388HP sets the Evolve+ apart and enables a 0-62mph time of 5.1 seconds, 0.6 seconds faster than the original. 310 miles of range is offered, falling just short of the 330 miles of range offered by the two-wheel drive variants.

Sitting on top of larger 20-inch wheels as standard, the interior of the Evolve+ has a unique blue Nappa leather trim inside the cabin, building on the standard features including a glass roof, heated and cooled electric seats and a Bose sound system.

Nissan recently revealed it had passed a million sales of EVs and by reducing its pricing with the Ariya, it will be seen to be a more accessible option compared to brands like Lotus which have targeted the more luxury side of the market.
