Nissan Hyper Punk is the Fourth in its Series of EV Concepts

The concept cars just keep coming from Nissan. The fourth in a series of EV concepts to be physically displayed as part of the Japan Mobility Show on October 25th is called the Hyper Punk. In the words of the Japanese marque, this concept is “tailored for content creators, influencers, artists, and those who embrace style and innovation.”

As a concept car design, the exterior finely treads the line between minimalistic and loud with aerodynamics taken into account as seen on the swooping bonnet and front windscreen. This is contrasted with the use of polygonal shapes, defined edges and multifaceted surfaces with the silver paint colour changing depending on the viewing angle and light. All of this sits on top of large 23-inch wheels that feature lit up triangles which will be immediately noticeable in the dark.

However, inside is where you’ll find the main event and imaginative ethos of this concept. Designed to be a mobile creative studio, the cabin provides internet connectivity and plenty of places to charge your devices and plug in equipment. Also featured is a three-screen display arranged around the cockpit which projects imagery captured from around the car by onboard cameras and converts it to a manga style scenery.

Like with the Hyper Tourer concept, AI and headrest biosensors detect to elect the right music and lighting tailored to the driver’s mood.

Starting today, the digital-3D billboard Cross Shinjuku Vision in the Shinjuku district of Tokyo will show off the four EV concept cars, Nissan Hyper Urban, Nissan Hyper Adventure, Nissan Hyper Tourer and Nissan Hyper Punk, until the opening day of the show. From then, concept vehicles will also become available to use in the online game Fortnite.
