New Abarth 600e pictures mark 75th anniversary of brand

Abarth recently celebrated its 75th anniversary with the reveal of three new pictures of its upcoming 600e Scorpionissima.

The 240hp is set to be the most powerful production model created by the brand and is Abarth’s second fully electric car following the 500e - who could forget the (divisive) artificial engine noise? Abarth is clearly sold on it as it will also feature on the 600e, though it can be switched off at the push of a button.

Based on the Fiat 600e, it is also Abarth’s first foray into the SUV sector and the 600e Scorpionissima launch version in Hypnotic Purple will be limited to just 1,949 examples, the number signifying the year Carlo Abarth founded the company.

One of the new pictures we’ve been treated to shows off the 600e Scorpionissima’s interior which despite being dark in colour, comes with ambient lighting and shows sporty seats with contrasting stitching. The same scorpion logo that is seen on the 20-inch alloy wheels is placed in the middle of the Alcantara steering wheel and the Abarth graphic on the dashboard matches the one seen on the exterior door panels. There is also a 10-inch infotainment screen which comes with bespoke Abarth graphics and a tunnel pad cover, allowing for extra space inside the cabin.

Further details including price and performance figures will be revealed later this year ahead of an expected 2025 release.
