KAMManufaktur Launches sub-700kg 912c

KAMManufaktur - the Budapest based restomod company - have a new take on the iconic 912 sports car and this time it’s lighter than ever.

The KAMM 912c was launched in 2022 and was praised for its high performance and light weight, without losing its classic look and analogue driving style. Its semi carbon body was made by blending its original steel roof and rear quarter panels with KAMM manufactured carbon fibre panels and carbon fibre throughout the rest of the car - coming in at 750kg.

This time, the 2024 912c is even lighter, weighing 699kg and has the option of a full carbon body. It weighs over 300kg less than a standard 912 thanks to every body panel being replaced by KAMM manufactured carbon fibre and owners can choose from a range of finish options, including a full exposed weave and fully painted classic look.

Choice is paramount with KAMM 912c ownership and no two 912c models will ever be the same. Thanks to its design consultation phase and unlimited range of options, customers can modify everything including choice of seats and wheels, exterior and interior finishes and bespoke liveries.

The 2024 912c is more powerful too thanks to a bunch of technical upgrades, with a better air-cooled, 4 cylinder engine, and improved aerodynamics. Reduced wind noise, upgraded air conditioning and improving in car audio and phone connectivity make for a better driving experience overall.

KAMManufaktur Miklós Kázmér commented, “I am a perfectionist and continuously seek innovative new ways to improve the 912c. Our new carbon fibre body is a great example of that, with perfect fit, incredible strength, and further weight saving. In addition, the 2024 912c will offer a range of enhancements to further enhance driving pleasure and give an even more rewarding ownership experience. We look forward to delivering the first client cars early into 2024 and will then show the world our new development car for evaluation later in the year.”

Further details about the specifics of the car will be released shortly, but for now, prospective buyers can expect to pay €400,000 (£345,000) for the 2024 full carbon KAMM 912c in standard spec which includes a donor 912. If a customer can donate their own 912 for conversion, the price is lowered to €360,000 (£310,000).

The semi-carbon KAMM 912c is priced at €360,000 (£310,000) in standard spec and €320,000 (£275,000) when a donor is supplied.
