INEOS Grenadier Detour is the first limited edition Grenadier from Arcane Works

It will be limited to a production run of just 200 units.

Goodwood Festival of Speed Unveiling

INEOS chose the Goodwood Festival of Speed as the place to unveil its latest Grenadier. Known as the Detour, this particular Grenadier is the first from its newly created Arcane Works

Customers can customise and personalise their Detour by choosing from a wide range of external and internal design options. There is a choice of two straight-six, 3.0-litre BMW engines that combine with an exclusive exhaust system to boost the noise.

Only 200 Detour models will be available to buy, with all to be finished in the UK using materials from British based suppliers, including choice of leathers from Bridge of Weir, cashmere from Johnstons of Elgin and badging from British jewellers, Vaughtons.

Unique Features and Colour Options

They will be distinguishable from other Grenadiers because of their unique 18-inch forged alloy wheels and special front grille with headlights. Customers can choose between Magma Red, Whiteout Blue, Squall Green and Storm Force Silver as external hand sprayed colours.

Arcane Works will now become the guinea pig for new technologies and systems for future INEOS vehicles, such as uprated engine modifications, new chassis systems, and many new materials and features.

George Ratcliffe, Commercial Director, INEOS Automotive said: “We chose the Arcane name for our new division because the limited-edition vehicles it creates will be so unique as to be rarely spotted in the wild. Working in small-batches and hand finishing the cars means we can give a level of individuality not found in the 4X4 market. For our first launch, Grenadier Detour felt like a fitting name as the Grenadier is for people who enjoy driving, and sometimes it’s worth taking the longer route.”
