Facelift for Hyundai Bayon nearly three years after launch

After its launch in 2021, the Hyundai Bayon has had exterior and interior upgrades to freshen it up for 2024.

Sitting on a fresh set of alloy wheels, the facelift given to the Bayon makes it look more like the Hyundai Kona and its look is all the more distinctive with the inclusion of a new central LED daytime running light which spans the width of the front bumper.

The most noticeable changes are inside with new equipment now coming as standard. Two dual 10.25-inch digital screens sit in the cabin alongside wireless phone charging and smartphone connectivity through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. For older phones, two USB-C ports and a USB-A port are available to use for charging and sound can now be heard through an eight speaker Bose sound system.

Driving is made easier also with the addition of driver assistance technology, including lane assist, adaptive cruise control, forward collision assist and blindspot monitoring. Hyundai claims that changes to the Bayon now “maximise front and rear passenger comfort”.

While there is no word yet from Hyundai regarding sale date or price, it is expected to be priced a little higher than the £21,570 starting price the previous iteration commands.
