H.R. Owen Opens Luxurious Bentley Hatfield Showroom

The legendary British brand Bentley has a new showroom to match, with H.R. Owen – the UK’s leading luxury automotive dealer group – opening the doors to its brand new Bentley Hatfield showroom. Around 200 guests were the first to see the new site, joining senior management in Hertfordshire. The new showroom joins other H.R Owen-operated Bentley showrooms in Ripley, Surrey and Mayfair, London.

Richard Leopold, UK Regional Director of Bentley Motors, said: “The opening of Bentley Hatfield is a milestone moment for our UK operations, a demonstration of our joint commitment with H.R. Owen to our home market and our ambition to continue to lead the luxury car sector in the UK for many years to come.”

The Mulliner Commissioning Studio is a stand out feature of the new showroom, allowing customers to co-create their new Bentley with Mulliner as part of a new range of models available exclusively through Bentley Hatfield, known as the de Havilland Collection. High-definition screens, paint samples, leather swatches and fine wood strips are on display to help and inspire customers in the design process. Build on the site of the former de Havilland aircraft factory, the bespoke ‘de Havilland Collection’ includes examples of the Continental GT S, GTCS, Flying Spur S and Bentayga S. All pay homage to the aircraft company with subtle interior and exterior themes, nodding back to its heritage.

Tornado Red accents echo the Comet Racer’s red paint, which it bore when it won the 1934 England-Australia air race, and the theme continues in the interior with a split configuration featuring Hotspur and Beluga leather, as well as Milliner White piping, a chrome pinstripe and de Havilland commemorative details.

This is another big move from H.R. Owen, which already has plenty of Ferrari, Bugatti, Lamborghini, Aston Martin and Maserati dealerships among its commercial real estate. The new Bentley dealership sits alongside its Ferrari and Lamborghini equivalents in Hertfordshire.

H.R. Owen CEO Ken Choo, said: “H.R. Owen has a long and illustrious history retailing Bentley vehicles, and the launch of Bentley Hatfield marks an important milestone in that journey. Across the H.R. Owen Group we sell, service and maintain some of the most extraordinary supercars in the world. Our new complex offers a real opportunity for us to evolve the Bentley sales and aftersales experiences in line with the changing needs and desires of our customers.”
