Visa Cash App RB host event in Miami to show off new livery

The VCARB01 will wear the livery as a one-off at the Miami Grand Prix.

RB has revealed a multi-coloured livery for the Miami Grand Prix weekend which the team says is inspired by the Cash App Visa Chameleon Card and the vibrant colours of Miami.

Designed as a creative collaboration between RB’s design and paint team assisted by Visa and Cash App’s marketing and creative departments, the new livery runs from the nose down towards the rear wing endplates, but leaves the wings and engine cover in RB’s original colours.

Unveiling Visa Cash App RB’s new Miami livery, Peter Bayer, CEO, Visa Cash App RB Team said: “Visa Cash App RB’s Chameleon Card livery is the perfect colour scheme for our first race in the US. Since the team’s Las Vegas launch in February, we’ve taken some big steps forward, and we’re bringing fans on an exciting new journey. That desire to progress and connect is shared with Visa and Cash App who are bringing people together in the sport through experiences that are unlike anything else out there. This incredible livery and the events surrounding its launch here in Miami demonstrate their commitment to the team and F1, and we can’t wait to see the Chameleon VCARB 01 in action this weekend.”

The livery was revealed at a launch event in Miami’s artsy Wynwood district which was attended by a number of guests including Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda, who will be behind the wheel of the RB this weekend. Will the new livery inspire the team in its midfield battle in Miami? Ricciardo and Tsunoda lie 18th and 11th in the drivers’ standings, respectively while the team is 6th in the constructors’ standings.

Adrian Newey’s Red Bull exit confirmed

After a few weeks of rampant speculation and rumours, the future of Adrian Newey was finally revealed with Red Bull confirming his departure in the first quarter of 2025.

Newey is the most successful car designer in the history of Formula 1 and will now be the subject of a tug of war to secure his future services. While both Mercedes and Aston Martin are thought to be extremely keen to secure his services, Ferrari's lure and the chance to work with seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton represents the most appealing offer to Newey. Ferrari hasn’t won a constructors’ title since 2008 and Newey’s expertise may go some way to realising that ambition as a figure with unanimous respect across the world of motorsport.

Newey signed a new contract with Red Bull last year to take him up to 2025, however, the 65-year-old will now step away from the Red Bull F1 team and concentrate on its hypercar project instead.

What does the future now hold for Red Bull? Jos Verstappen, father of Max, has been quite vocal since the announcement of Newey’s departure, stating: “The team is in danger of falling apart. I was afraid of that earlier this year. For internal peace, it is important that key people stay on board. That is not the case now. For the future, that is not good.”

Newey will be with Red Bull in Miami this weekend as Max Verstappen looks to increase his lead in the F1 drivers’ standings.
