At a Christmas light switch on of a different kind, buildings that make up Ferrari’s iconic Maranello factory were lit up for the first time this week with 3D images, LED and laser effects covering the campus that stretches for a kilometre along Viale Enzo Ferrari.

Videos of some of the cars that were created within those buildings were projected onto the brick arch framing Ferrari’s entrance including the 1947 125 S and two 499P hypercars which secured victory at Le Mans this year, after a long awaited return.

Further along the red lit avenue, the former paint shop tower has been transformed into a large screen projecting Ferrari’s values: ‘Individual and Team; Tradition and Innovation; Passion and Achievement.’

Some of Ferrari’s 5,000 workers at Maranello are celebrated also with many faces from its Racing, Sports Cars and Lifestyle divisions all honoured.

Illuminated at the centre of a new 100,000 square metre area and currently under construction is Ferrari’s new e-building. Due to open in June 2024, two years after construction began, it is the next chapter of the Prancing Horse’s long history and will have assembly lines to produce the first all-electric Ferrari, which is expected to be unveiled in late 2025.

After taking a while to reluctantly enter the EV space, Ferrari hopes to have an 80% partially electrified fleet by 2030.

This special light show is dedicated to the men and women of Ferrari who make the extraordinary possible, and our worldwide Ferrari family who make our Company unique,” commented John Elkann, Ferrari Chairman.
