Concours of Elegance Germany to be Introduced in 2024

From the 22nd to 27th of July and taking place in the Bavarian Alps on Lake Tegernsee, Concours of Elegance Germany is the new event brought to fans by the same team behind Concours of Elegance at Hampton Court Palace and the London Concours.

Having started with an event at Windsor Castle in 2012, Concours of Elegance is now one of the highlights of each yearly automotive calendar. The six-day event in Germany will culminate in a 200 car concours hosted at Gut Kaltenbrunn at the head of Lake Tegernsee.

Before that though, the cars will take in the sights of the Bavarian countryside, embarking on a four-day tour exploring the best of everything the region has to offer. The first day of the event at Gut Kaltenbrunn, a destination famed for its stunning surroundings and five-star hotels, will be attended by just 1,200 invited guests before it fully opens up the day after.

James Brooks-Ward, Thorough Events CEO, said: “Germany has a renowned pedigree of exceptional automotive excellence. Germany deserves a first class international Concours. We already have the foundations of a spectacular new addition to the global motoring calendar, and with the enthusiasm of our entire community of automotive collectors, we will translate all the magic of our other events into the Concours of Elegance Germany, with a crucial Bavarian twist.”

The event is presented by the German watch manufacturer A. Lange & Söhne and supported by its auction partner, RM Sotheby’s, media partner, Classic Driver and hospitality partner, Käfer. Over the years, the Concours has generated over €3m for charitable causes.
